Norway

Norwegian landscape

With spectacular wild scenery and dramatic landscapes, magical fjords, Northern Lights, whale watching and the midnight sun – Norway has a magnificent WOW factor.

There are 114 flights into Norway from the UK serving Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Haugesund and Trondheim

Bergen

The gateway to the Fjords, situated on the south west coast of Norway.  An ideal location for an incentive or retreat.  Stay at Hardinagsete where historic houses from all over the Fjords have been rebuilt – a huge barn serves as a dining and meeting place. It is a place where people can relax and have time to connect to themselves and each other - enjoy dinner on the landing stage overlooking the Fjord or at Agakunat-Cluster Village.  Activities include fishing, power boating and deer hunting by boat.  Visit the Glacier – rope together, use ice axes and spikes, walk across over crevasses and go down one.  Solestrand Hotel has superb meeting rooms. Boat transfers can be arranged directly from the airport.  Bergen has pulsating city life and stunning scenery.

Oslo

There are direct flights to Oslo on Wednesdays.  Oslo and surrounding areas are perfect for a conference programme. The Oslo fjords are beautiful and an absolute must is a night cruising on the fjords with a ‘prawn dinner’ – as many fresh prawns as you can eat accompanied by lemon, mayonnaise and hunks of fresh bread and washed down by delightful crisp refreshing wine.  The Oslo pass is a unique way to get around the city – it enables guests to travel around the area by boat, bus and train which adds a nice dimension to the event, especially for a city treasure hunt. We can also arrange for hiking or fishing in the local area.

Haugesund

Norway Viking

The Homeland of the Viking Kings – Norway’s birthplace. Haugesund is a traditional fishing village with superb hotel and conference facilities. Enjoy a ‘long boat voyage’, sample Norwegian cuisine in ‘ Valhalla’s kitchen’, explore the rugged coastline by Rib, take part in the Viking challenge in Avaldnes and then divide the spoils at a traditional Viking Ceremony.

Ruros

Snow shoe walking, Ruros, Norway

Recommended for a small intimate group.  Be captured by a sparkling winter adventure – explore the mountain settlement of Ruros by kick sled, feel the snowflakes caressing your face as your enjoy a quiet dog sled ride or ski across the beautiful mountain plateaux.  Ruros has earned a place on UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites – with its unique mining and farming activities.  Conference facilities are excellent; rooms are not luxurious but are suitable for purpose.  A short distance away is Fjallnas Hotel, which is very smart and welcoming and in a league of its own and an ideal base for any group.

Lofoten Islands

Whale Watching - Lofoten Islands, Norway

If time allows a trip to the Lofoten Islands to watch the whales is breathtaking and a once in a lifetime experience!

Svalbard Archipelago

Remote, extreme and mysterious - Spitsbergen and the other islands in the Svalbard archipelago are located in the Arctic Ocean, halfway between Norway and the North Pole.

A biological hot spot for polar adventures via snowmobile to see the predatory Polar Bear, Arctic Fox and the Svalbard Reindeer... or perhaps dog sledding expedition or an ice grotto tour followed by a wilderness BBQ..... the crown of Arctic Norway....
