Dublin

Dublin has several incredibly large conference venues such as the vast 17 hectare Royal Dublin Society estate in the south east of the city and the Convention Centre in the centre of Dublin.

Fabulous attractions which appeal to the corporate market include the pubs of Temple Bar, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and its Gravity Bar, the Old Jameson Distillery or perhaps shopping on O'Connell Street.  The Aviva Stadium and Croke Park provide first class sporting events.

There are many excellent hotel groups in situ as you would expect to find such as the Hilton and the five star Merrion Hotel.  Further out of the town there are 2 stunning boutique style properties - Ballyfin Demesne is now part of the Relais & Chateaux portfolio and Marlfield House, a classic country house.

Galway and Dublin - sample itinerary

Arrive in Dublin mid morning on day 1 and take a private coach to Galway (2 hours away), stopping for lunch and an orienteering tour of the city. Overnight in the luxurious 5 star 13th Century Ashford Castle - with dinner in the sumptuous George V dining room in the castle.

After breakfast on day 2, drive part of the scenic route of Connemara to reach the coast and take the fast boat to the off shore island of Inismor.  Take a tour of this gaelic traditional farming and fishing island by horse and carriage.  Enjoy a seafood lunch and pint of Guinness served in a traditional harbour side pub.

The evening will be spent on board the boat the Corrib Queen, touring the lake with a view of Ashford Castle from the water - returning after drinks to the castle for a private traditional Irish farewell night in Cullen's Cottage.

On your final day, depart the castle and drive to Carton House near Dublin.  Try your hand at an adrenalin fuelled 4x4 course before transferring to the 5 star Fitzwilliam hotel for dinner with pre-dinner drinks at the famous Guiness Storehouse.

The Belfast Waterfront Conference Centre and The Metropolitan Arts Centre both have excellent capacity for groups as has the colossal Odyssey Arena.

Accommodation - a weath of hotels in situ, including the 5 star art deco Merchant Hotel plus Hilton, Hastings, Premier Inn and Holiday Inn have properties in the city.

After a long day in conference, we can incorporate trips to the Ulster Museum, the Parliament buildings and the Folk and Transport Museum.
