Scotland

If you are organising a business event, a conference or a special celebration in Scotland, you will find the destination is inspirational  in terms of its offer of unique accommodation, world class golf and thrilling outdoor pursuits.

There are stunning luxury gala dinner venues that we use, such as Stirling Castle for a themed gala dinner or the hidden treasure of Ackergill Castle which is a 15th Century Scottish Castle with 27 bedrooms which can be hired on an exclusive use basis. For the client who has seen and done it all, perhaps a reception on the Royal Yacht Britannia, where guests are piped on board and then enjoy a glass of champers in the Queens lounge.

For the discerning golfer, Gleneagles, St Andrews and Turnberry will appeal with their stunning championship golf courses, an inspirational setting for both business and relaxation.

The Gleneagles Hotel is just one hour's drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh and was built by the Old Caledonian Railway Company in 1924 in the heart of a beautiful Scottish glen.  Set in an 850-acre estate with its own railway station, it immediately won fame as one of the world's finest hotels.

The hotel offers the finest comfort, from the luxury bedrooms to the calming environment of the spacious destination spa by ESPA. Four restaurants ensure there is plenty of choice, including Scotland’s only two Michelin starred restaurant Andrew Fairlie.

Gleneagles is renowned for its three championship golf courses - The PGA Centenary Course - venue for the Ryder Cup 2014 - and the stunning King's and Queen's Courses.

The heart of the estate offers clay target shooting, archery and trout fishing on three lochs, as well as one of Europe’s leading equestrian centres. Meanwhile, at the Gundog School, guests can learn how to handle a trained gundog or you can try your hand at falconry at The British School of Falconry, both the first of their kind in the world.  Test your skills on two of Scotland’s most taxing 4x4 off-road driving courses.

Edinburgh

A beautifully creative city - with the recent reopening of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and National Museum of Scotland both of which can cater for large events in wonderful surroundings.

The Edinburgh International Conference Centre is due to open it's £30m expansion programme in 2013.

Regarding accommodation - The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa has been updated recently.  The Atholl is a new 4 suite hotel, with dining overseen by chef Albert Roux OBE and the Hotel Indigo Edinburgh set within a Grade A listed, late 18th century building is now open.

No visit is complete without a Scotch Whiskey Experience.

St Andrews

An hour up the coast from Edinburgh is the local seaside town of St Andrews.

It is home to the third oldest university in the english speaking world and is where Prince William and Catherine met.

St Andrews Links golf course is in the heart of the town.

The University has many areas available for hire for dinners and receptions out of term time. The Museum of St Andrews' galleries can host events.

The Fairmont St Andrews is located just out of the town and Kellie Castle, a 14th century home is superb if you wish to hold your event in a traditional scottish home.

Isle of Eriska - an 'Island of your Own' - 5* Relais & Chateaux, 3 AA Rosette Hotel

The Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island holds very exciting opportunities for corporate groups.

Hold your retreat of groups of up to 50 persons and take the island over completely.

The island is home to a wealth of wildlife both on the island and around the coastline including otters, deers, eagles and the island's famous badgers.

The 25 bedroom 5 star hotel has 3 meeting rooms, tailor made water sports activities, cookery classes, foraging and fishing.  It also incorporates a large all-weather indoor event space which you can use during your exclusive retreat.

2 hours drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Isle of Eriska is located 20 minutes north of Oban on the beautiful west coast of Scotland.  There is a private airstrip at Connel (5 minutes from the hotel), but helicopters and seaplanes are also a common mode of transport.

Wales

Cardiff is easily accessible by road and rail.

There are many large hotel groups such as the Hilton, Park Plaza and Parc Hotel which are all centrally located.

Heading out to Cardiff Bay is St David's Hotel & Spa and further along the coast in Newport the Celtic Manor Resort which was home to the Ryder Cup in 2010.

There are many large event spaces such as the Motor point Arena, the National Museum and City Hall.

For team building activities there is white water rafting descending raging rapids in the heart of the city, or perhaps a blast in a Rib or sailing in Cardiff Bay may appeal.
